It is equipped with full colour graphics driven user interface and a touch screen display. The SDG 200 makes use of Microsoft Windows CE for its smooth operation, software upgrades, and enhanced user support.

Specifications

Some of the specs for the SDG 200 include:

  • The SDG 200 only has an “average” mode available. It averages five readings, stores data including location, date and time and also stores infinite records.

    For functions, there is Wet & Dry Density, % Compaction, and % Moisture.

    For soil specifications, the SDG 200 is designed to operate with standard soils used in civil construction projects. It requires inputs from standard; Standard Test Methods for Liquid Limit, Plastic Limit, Plasticity Index of Soils, Particle Size Distribution, and Proctor Test. The operating temperature is from : -20°C to 40°C (-4°F to 104°F).

    • Sensing Area: 11 in. (27.9cm) diameter base allows optimum measurement on fine and coarse material types.
    • Measurement Depth: Designed for use on a standard 12in (30cm) un-compacted layer of soil during or after compaction.

    • Accuracy: Wet Density +\- 2%. Water Content +\- 2%

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I charge my SDG 200?

When the voltage indicator on the status bar reads 6.5volts. It is also a good idea to charge the SDG 200 at the end of the day after use.

Will the SDG 200 operate while charging?

No, the SDG 200 is not operable while charging. An external battery charger can be purchased along with a second battery pack. Contact us for more information.

How will I know when the SDG 200 is fully charged?
When the LED indicator on the back of the gauge changes from red to yellow.
Should the SDG 200 remain in its original shipped case?

Yes, each case contains a standardization plate unique for that specific gauge.

Is it necessary to calibrate the SDG 200 annually?
Yes, Motorway Tech suggests annual calibration of the SDG 200 gauge.
Does Motorway Tech provide training for the SDG 200?

Is the SDG 200 available in languages other than English?
Yes, we can also program the interface for Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish or Swedish.
